Need Drivers or BIOS

    Ok, so all Intel boards have a adi**** number?

    no, the soundmax use an adi**** something chip for sound. i just saw that when getting the board chipset inf driver that there was the soundmax driver on same page.

    Alright, is the adi**** on the motherboard, or on a removable chip?

    is a chip that is not removeable from the motherboard except by de-soldering.

    Alright, thank you. I'm still looking for it, but is it possible I didn't find it because its covered by something, like a network card?

    yes it is possible is covered by a pci card

    Before I pull a card out, would it be possible there's some solder connection, and if I pull it, it will break? Or is that only on the motherboard, and not on the chip?

    I have a similar problem, my motherboard model is P4SD-VL by ASUS and its a PCV-RS712 VAio and my sound does not work. I looked everywhere but i cannot find the right sound driver. I tried Soundmax but it keeps saying that the driver is not installed.

    Please help me :(
