SOrry, I should have said it doesn't play at all. It has the same files burned on there like the orginal, but it won't play like the original will. It was a dvd-5. I have no idea what authoring is, so I probably didn't do it before or after, I guess.

How big are the 9 files you have (ready to burn)?

If the whole of the files are under 4.37Gb then I dont understand why (without asking you for [bold]exact[/bold] details of the method you used/movie ripped etc etc).

Over 4.37Gb & your looking at a DVD-9 or duallayered disc which would need authoring/compressing.

    LOL

No worries , I'll just go open it up so I do it as I type bro...

    DVD
    Compile a new DVD
    Other DVD Formats
    DVD-Video

Click on the VIDEO_TS Folder the drag & drop all .BUP .VOB .IFO files in there.

    Burn without multisession.

Sit back & have a cup of tea & a smoke whilst a (hopefully) successful DVD-R gets done !

Once you've done it once it seems a breeze...

Until you have problems w/ cheap blank media.
But at least then all the hard work is done, until authoring.

When doing a DVD-5 it's imperative to rip all files which you said you had so you should be typing back here in about 25mins if your going to burn @ X2 or 50-60mins if your burning @ X1

I'd suggest starting @ X1 even if you too have the capabilities of X 2 burning.

    I wouldn't know.

I use Power DVD XP 4.0 (never had any problems)

Nice to hear you have a [bold]watchable[/bold] DVD-R
