I have problems burning iso files. My dvd burner successfully completes each time, but when I put it in my dvd player or p2s they won't play. Nothing comes on the screen. I thought it was the dvd media I was using so I bought some verbatims and its still doing the same thing. I'm not sure what to do in order to get them to work. Anyone willing to help a newbie? Thanks!

    Hi there,

I have heard that PS2 are real picky !

Most of the time, this is the problem:

Cheap Media used, and burned too fast.

What media are you using ? (Media ID is what we need).
Can be found in the burning software log.

You say you used Verbatims, that's good.

    Tools like:

    - VSO Inspector
    - DvdInfoPro
    - DVD Identifier

can provide you the MEDIA ID of your blank disks !

What speed do you burn at ?

Use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Maxell [bold]made in Japan[/bold] and burn one at 2x or 4x MAX, it should make all the difference in the world :)

Okay the Manufacturer Name is: Mitsubishi Kagaku Media
    Media Type ID: 001
Also it says made in Singapore on the back of the DVD Case.
I burned at 4x. Should I try it at a slower speed or did I buy bad media. I bought these from Walmart, and they weren't all that cheap lol!

    Hi again,

Verbatim from Singapore (MKM media ID) should be smooth all the way.

    1st Class Media !

I would burn one of those at 2x and see if it makes a differences.

Like I said, lots of people said that PS2 are picky, so maybe this might help.

    I would try it :)

Do you have an other DVD Player to try them in ?
