Check your dvd stand alones specifications and see if it will play any vcd or does it be specific on vcd1.1 or vcd2.0???

I tried to make a vcd with mpg files and I got the 4 folders expect that when I open Segment, there is nothing in it. Also When I open the E:\ folder where the video is it says I've used 2,16 mb and there is a 400+ file in there. I used Nero to burn the file. I don't know if I had to reencode the file but was never asked to, could that have been the error? Can't open the 400+ file which is there in mpgav-file as a read-only.

    Thanks for the help.

Can I use ZingMPEG Encoder to encode the mpg file to vcdMPG? How is that done? Also I'm able to see the video I made with Nero (mpg) with Windows media player. BTW why is it bad to use Nero to encode although Nero didn't prompt me to encode.

I've been able to encode avi files to mpg's with TMPGEnc encoder, I need to encode them also after encoding them to mpg:s? I've also heard that you can make vcd:s of MPG files with TMPGEnc, how?

Also I'd like to make VCD:s in Ntsc format cause I think the frame is bigger than on PAL but I live in Europe. The DVD:s are able to play also Ntsc, can I make VCD:s in that format?

I can play NTSC vcd's on my stand alone dvd player but i cant play NTSC dvd's lol, so chances are it will work!!

When you encode with TMPGEnc, click load and go to the tmpgenc folder, open the template folder and load the videocd pal template and then encode it. Then you shouldn't have to encode again at all!
