Need Help Connecting to Xbox thru FTP

    Help!!
    Im using UnleashX
    got the xbox and computer connected through hub (tried twisted pair direct got same problem)
    Run Filezilla address 192.168.0.100 user xbox pass xbox port 21 and get the following

    Status: Connecting to 192.168.0.100 ...

    Error: Disconnected from server
    Error: Unable to connect!

    Tried Smart FTP and get the following

    My Window XP Computer setting for TCP/IP

    IP address: 169.254.244.201
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway: 169.254.244.2
    DNS server: 169.254.244.2

    Please help..
    I really don't want to change the setting in the computer I have other stuff already configured
    for the network.

    on the xbox change the ip to 192.168.0.4 and as in the computer change the ip to 192.188.03 and for the mask will change automatically so u dont need to change that also try flash fxp if thats not what ur using i use that and it works fine smart ftp is more for other things not rly made for this but fxp will work alot better if u havnt used that yet and if ur still having problems u can pm me and ill b glad to hgelp u out

    are you going through a router? and if so are you sure the PC connection is set up as a static and not DHCP
    and the IP address for the PC you listed was obtained by using the command prompt and typing "ipconfig/all" ?(no quotes)

    also try this address for your Xbox
    169.254.244.203
    you want it in the same range as the connection on the PC.
    you only want the xbox IP address to be 192.168.0.100 if the IP for your PC was something like 192.168.0.101 or something in that range.
    if you have a router and a connection set up DHCP then if your set the Xbox to Static:No and reset it the router should assign it an IP address automatically, then you may just have to enter the rest of the stuff like DSN addresses and subnet mask and default gateway.
