I just purchase this car radio It order for me to get it to power on I had to put the memory wire and the power wire together and hook it up to the main power in my truck. I have two separate wires in the truck for the main power and the memory, but when I hook it up like that the radio won't power on. Is there a way I can get the memory to work?

the memory wire must be hooked up to an "always on"source of power.if doing this causes the radio not to power on look at your wiring as its likely you wired the radio wrong.if your radio is in the dash why are you going to the trunk for a source of power?? you should be able to buy a wiring kit for the radio that involves no cutting of the radio harness in the car.comes with directions as well.

I don't have my "trunk" as a source of power ... I stated my "truck" ... my S-10 truck for the source. I tried that but it didn't work .... I will try it again and see ...
