I am fixing a friends GPS unit, she told me she couldn't get the maps working and upon inspecting found no map software. I found some software for TomTom online but can't get any maps to work. Can some one tell me how to get maps to work or a different software? The unit runs wince5.0 I am basically working from scratch. Any help, advice, or software will be appreciated.

This is the site i got the software from: http://kerogen.wordpress.com/2010/12/26/tomtom7_on_wince5_namaps/

You should be dealing with where it was bought from or whoever is the local dealer or approved dealer, doesn't matter if bought in another county or whatever they are obliged to serve,or use the contact us form at gps planet, the unit should've already been preloaded with the required OS,then its just a matter of getting maps which should've been made available, personally i'd throw it back at whoever sold it to her & where's the user manual

The user manual is basic and from what I have been reading most of these devices make you buy the maps and software separately.
