    I thought a coaster was
    - a person who hangs out on the coast?
    - what you do when you let off the gas pedal in your car?
    - a big friken' ride at the theme park?
    - a singing group?
    - what you do to just get by (in school for example)?

LMAO :) Why don't we call them frisbee's that would be funer. Anyways that is what mine becomes right away when I find out it's bad when I sling it across the room!! :) They work good as mirrors too. :)

It is amazing the damage a carefully thrown dud copy can do to your wallpaper & plaster. My room has the odd scar from the bad old days!!

Huuummm, I'm feeling dumb here - are we referring to space on the HD ? If so, you'll need at least 6 to 8GB when doing a standard backup. I recommend 10 to 12 if you're going to be doing any editing and when compiling DVD's perhaps a little bit more.

I'm referring to space, NOT memory -

Can u maybe help me???? :) Nero on min e only lets you do stuff w/cd and dvds! and i have no idea what Alcohol 120% is. Do u use the programs together like ScubaPete taught w/DVD shrink and Decypter????
    .
    Thanks

P.S. how did i mess up the F***in margins????

You spanned HAHA all across the page. I removed it .... margins fixed. Don't do it again.

I use alcohol for copying copies of dvds. It can copy some that nero will not do.

    Hi Pulsar,

Iffin you want perfect copies of copies use DVD Decrypter in the "mode", ISO, "Read" then "Mode",ISO, "Write".

As you point out, sometimes using Nero OR DVD Shrink won't do certain DVD's. I think it's because some files get "Buggard" when you're ripping in the file mode. By using an ISO Image, everything is exactly as it was on the first copy.

and an extra added PLUS, DVD Decrypter is FREE.

    Cheers,

    Pete

    Hi Scuba,
Thanks for the tip. I tried to install decryptor, but it had a conflict with my set up. It's a while ago since I tried, & I can't remember the exact problem. (memory of a goldfish I'm afraid, I'm really old & senile now) I flattened one of my HDs last night, I may try to install decryptor.
To be honest, I have not come across a dvd I could not copy with the software I have (AnyDvd, alcohol, nero6.6, dvd shrink, dvdxplatinum & dvdxpress, both ripper & RF versions - my faves - as they are quickest on my system)
I may try decryptor, just for the hell of it. I will be flattening the same HD again tomorrow as it still is not 100% spot on for me. I like to flatten every few months to get rid of any crap that may have built up. you know how it is!
I do like to have a good arsenal in the fight for dvd copying. All help is, as always, most gratefully appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Pulsar

To answer your question, Heli-ox is used for working dives 200' +. (I've done air dives to 265' on air but just for sport.) Since my accident - I haven't been anywhere except my home, the Doctor's and rehab. Sorry, no parties.

    Cheers Pulsar,

    Pete

My step dad did a lot of self contained underwater breathing apparatus diving, I believe you use helium to stop nitrogen narcosis? I have always wondered why 200feet was the magic limit for sustained diving & heli-mix, why is that? What accident did you have?
Have you ever had the bends? If so what is it like, apart from very painful?
I have just backed up Garfield the movie(I enjoyed it too!!). I did it with xpress, movie only. Read in 13mins, burnt in 9mins. You have got quite an arsenal there old boy, experience is indeed a wonderful thing!
    As is knowledge.

Yep. At deeper depths it alsocontrols O2 toxicity.

There's no "magic limit" Actually, you start at about 100' but I've used Nitrox to 500' + (while working out of a habitat). The depth you dive decides what the concentration you use will be.

    Extremely few, thank God.

That's it pretty much though I had it in my ears and was deaf until I got to a chamber -

    Enough of all that -

    Yes it is -

So I've heard. When I ever get some, I'll let you know -

    Cheers,

    Pete
