They wont let you check them becuase your movie isn't being compressed at all, so there is no need for them as you will retain the same quality as the original DVD. I don't use either of those settings unless I go below 85%. Thats just my recomendation :)

    BruinsFan,

Yep, spent many, many years off the NJ coast -

AFA, your avatar (the correct name for that there picture thingie) as in most everything, ScubaPete has a guide for that too. So, here's my addition, it may help more -

a guide for an Avatar installition

First head to a Gif center, here's one for you -

    http://www.gifs.net/animate/giflist.htm

Scroll through their selection and select something you like.
When you find something, right-click it and copy it's URL address.

Then back you come to your "Account" to "edit personal information".

Before your text, type in the following, without spaces -

    [img ]place your Gif's URL here[img ]

Remember, close those spaces in the brackets so your avatar will launch ~>

Then go to aD's Main forum page, find "Safety Valve" and you'll find a thread called "Testing Thread" - use that to test your avatar :)

Now you'll be all set -

    Enjoy,

    Pete

    @ Bruinsfan:
i believe they only update the members' ranks at the end of each month. and i think you have to have 100 posts to be a member. be patient...the title doesn't really matter, just the intelligence of the AD user behind it.

p.s. play a little nicer with the moderators. they have the power to ban your ass, and some will do so if they don't like your attitude. lots of people give them crap and i think it might be starting to show. they do a great job, and i think maybe we should all put a thanks out there for them. actually, there's a few threads for that purpose somewhere...

anyhoo, we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming:

    Hey there catfreak ole Buddy,

I didn't see much difference between it and DVD XCopy -

It does just a "Movie only" or it splts the DVD between 2 discs.

I like my movie all on a single disc AND I didn't find anything to encode 2X. it is user friendly BUT I didn't find anything to allow you to do any custom editing - So far, I like recode better - What did I miss ?

    @ BruinsFan

Since you seem so interested in advancing your "rank" I'll give you a bit of advice - if you want to make it very far you'd be well served to follow the rules and show a little respect to not only the Moderators but everyone else here.

The spirit of this forum is to make useful posts helping others to be successful, not boosting your post count in the Testing thread or making completely off topic posts.

You can try NVE (Nero Vision Express) I'm not to familiar with IFOedit, but I know NVE will do what you are trying :)

Enough with the ridiculous posts, BruinsFan.

You made 20+ useless posts in the Testing thread tonight and you're carrying it over to this one. I'm giving you one more chance to stop this "post count boosting nonsense".

Wrong answer BruinsFan. And thanks for the lovely pm. I especially liked this part:

I care because that's my job as a Moderator. xrm454 was trying to get help and didn't need to wade through your completely off topic posts. All I asked of you was to keep on topic and make some useful contributions - a simple "ok" would've done nicely.

    Hi ScubaPete,
I was wondering is there a place where you can DL image files like DVD shrink does after you have backed-up. Is there just a place where you can DL (download) them without having the DVD itself? Any and All help will be appreciated! Thnx!
