If you don't own the original it's pirated.

    @ Nephilim
I dont believe anything was wrong with what IloveAD asked... Read here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/101550

Unless I misinterpet something it looks like what ILoveAD is asking is perfectly legal?

Please correct me if I am wrong. I would hate to think I am not understanding the rules correctly..

    Hi ScubaPete,
I was wondering is there a place where you can DL image files like DVD Shrink does after you have backed-up. Is there just a place where you can DL (download) them? Any and All help will be appreciated! Thnx!

    @ bbmayo

ILoveAD specifically asked for a place to download ISO's of DVDs he did not own - that is not condoned here.

Here's an excerpt from a post I made earlier today:

Are you trying to test our patience??

A newbie says it's okay ... A moderator says no ... Hmmm, I wonder which one you should listen to?

Fact is your asking for a backup ISO Image similar to ones created by Shrink, right? Well you won't find any. Best place is to try IRC, but I don't think you'll find the files your looking for.

Maybe this one needs a little better clarification?

It dosen't say you can't ask but it also dosen't say you can? Things that make you go hmmmm LOL

I see people all over here talking about getting a movie from LackLuster video and copying it and no one says anything about that? I don't really see the difference... I'm probablly wrong on this but I just was trying to get some clearafication here.

Thanks all and keep up the good work :)

    Reopened for one more response

    @ bbmayo

That's why I warn folks the first time they ask :)

That falls under what I said earlier – there's nothing wrong with helping folks with material they already have in their possesssion. It's providing direct links to pirated material that's not allowed. There are a great many folks here getting help with obviously pirated AVI's but again, it's something they aquired all on their own.

    In a nutshell:

If they already have it – fine.

If they don't – we don't help them get it.

Hope this clears things up a bit :)
