i really appreciate the help. right not im using a netgear wireless router, and im only getting 11 out of the 54 Mbps on my computer, using a d-link network adapter. would it make any difference if i buy a netgear network adapter instead? thanks in advance.
Check you Router and network and adapter, if one is 54mbps (802.11g standard) and the other 11mbps (802.11b standard) your wireless connection will only go as fast as the 802.11b transfer rate.
