can you use a different way of setting the password or try the hex version? my dsi didn't like hex in connection 1,2 or 3 and that where ds needs connection for games. can you put a password in that does not use a generator? just what you put in is what you get?
looked through the manual only things i can think of have you got the latest firmware updates? have you tried turning off wireless security to see it you can connect? wireless router is not compatible with DS for gaming purposes.
Thanks again! Well my SMC's configuration page looks totally different though. The one you showed is probably of a different model . You know what? As I mentioned, when I enter the ASCII paraphrase, the hex version shows up in 5 boxes (each boxes containing 2 characters). I did some research, and apparently (if I understand correctly), some people type ASCII characters in the hex output box. That sounds interesting and I definitely never thought of doing that. I'll try it out tonight and let you know how it goes.
Ok, so I tried putting ASCII characters to the output hex box, and it simply didn't work. When I clicked Submit, I simply got an error, so the only way is by putting the ASCII paraphrase as usual, and then it outputs the hex. This is frustrating! Also, there's nowhere within the admin page where I can use ASCII WEP. Hex seems to be the only option. One thing that I noticed though: the transmission rate was set to 11 Mbps, up till last night, when I changed it to 2 Mbps. But I noticed on another computer (that's connected wirelessly), that when I saw the wireless icon on the lower right hand corner of the Windows tray, it still says 11 Mbps instead of 2. Do I have to restart the router or what?
when making changes to router its always a good idea to reboot it, you can do this from the router settings. the only other way i can think of getting you online is with a http://www.google.co.uk/products/ca...ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CCMQ8wIwAw#ps-sellers but your pc will have to always be on to play games, have you updated the firmware on the router?
