Have you tried Deleting DVD Shrink,re-booting, and installing it again.
Is your computer clean of cookies, Adware, and malware?
Does the computer need to be defraged?
Do you have these two programs?
    AdAware SE , Spybot S&D
These two programs are great and FREE.
    Use Spybot in "Advanced" mode
    click "Tools" bottom left
    Click "system start up"
Then you will be able to see what programs start up automattically when you boot up your computer. You will be surprised!
Highlight a program that is checked and go to the right and click the little arrow. A window will open up and give you information about the program. If you see programs that you do not use or need to have open and the info window says "typicaly not required" un-check it. Reboot

Decrypted the movie to HD, used Rebuilder Pro/CCE Basic created an ISO image, then burned the image with Nero. Rebuidler is set for Movie Only. No problems. I also used Intervideo Copy 3. No Problems. The copy from Rebuilder was sharper, yet both looked great.

Welcome to Afterdawn and Thank You,
I put these two programs on all of my computers. I also use SpywareBlaster.
It's a good idea to reboot after deleting things with AdAware and rebooting again after running spybot and deleting things.
Stuff doesn't really get deleted untill you reboot
I'm trying out AVG Virus on my sons computer. It has been going for a few months now with no problems. Update downloads can take forever in the daytime during the week, even with cable modem. So I download all updates late at night or on the weekend. It then downloads in seconds, instead of hours.

kickbak..... try BPR Spyware & Adware Remover..... also try WinTrace Remover from them, too! two great programs and it destroys any trace of deleted stuff...... also there is System Mechanic ......use System Shield to complete remove any deleted stuff on your drive! then I use Nortons to check everything out! NOW THAT'S BEING THORO!!!!

everbody uses shrink and has problems-(not complaining )but
i have been using dvd-decrypter(newest version)
and dvd2one v1.5 and i have never had arcoss problems or size issue
and to me the compression is quick and really good looking
try www.dvd2one.com and learn about it--you might like it

(oh ya sin city worked fine)

I used DVD Decrypter, then used Shrink. the problem is the only audio option you have is Dolby Digital 5.1, where if you add DTS to the options, you receive the message file is to big. I posted a note on the Shrink fourm to see if theres a way to delete the extras so I can add DTS. For now, the Dolby Digital option works and will fit on the disc.

I.ve had problems with backing up sin city as well......I usually like to have 90-100% compression for the main track. But when I was editing this movie with VOB blanker I could not blank out some of the tracks, the menu size for the extra files is tremendous....is there any way to remove these???

If you are only wanting movie the free way is to use Shrink. Re-author with the main movie. Use the clip/cut option to cut the credits down until you get to the desired compression. If you want a great program with great quality...Dvd Rebuilder with free encoder HC Hanks or QuEnc. I use CCE Basic (Outstanding!) or use CloneDVD2 or Intervideo copy 3 both with Movie only. Unless you want menus, then both allow customization for whatever your needs are. I feel much better than shrink, yet not free.

After reviewing the thread I've reviewed the thread, but when I'm using DVDShrink and previewing the segments, I get audio on the previews, and the menu, but not VTS2, or the Title 8 the main movie. Any ideas? I'm working with the folder now. Do I need to re-rip the DVD to a folder? If so, what could've I done wrong. I used DVD-RB .93 and using CCE Basic, but was unable to use DGDecode.dll (had to use the mpeg2dec3dg.dll). I'm unsure why.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

dwcoffin, I'm not the expert but I usually use Decrypter, or even Dvd Fab Decrypter prior to using Rebuilder. I use the Rebuilder Pro RC 5.1 (latest for VIP), and CCE BAsic. I have found that using Decrypter prior always works, then I just click the audio streams that I want to keep or not keep. You can have Movie Only, Movie with Menus, blank extras...etc. I would suggest re-doing the files, using Dvd Decrypter to HD, then allowing Rebuilder to do it's work.
Hope this helps! Good luck, let me know if I can help!

I used dvd shrink to rip the movie SIN CITY and that took a really long time ( est. 1hr. 10min. ) and then I used NERO 6.0 to copy it and it works great with no problems...try it ...good luck !!!
