NEED HELP!

    COULD SOME ONE HELP ME FIND OUT WHAT IS UP WITH MY PC.............EVERY TIME I TURN IT ON I GET ERROR MESSAGES LIKE HARDISK 1\\INSERT REMOV DISK\\DR3...AND IF I CONTINUE IT,IT GO'S UP TO DR6??? GETTING DESPRATE TO FIND OUT WHAT IT IS!!

    my speck is hp pavilion 450 2.8gh cpu,512 ram,dvd fugitus burner,dvd rom......my problems started after i removed norton firewall & virus off my pc and put a new firewall & virus on(zone alarm etc).......and it sometimes comes up on Q time player but i can uninstall all that and still happens every time i put it in??

    how did you uninstall norton, in the add/remove programs or norton uninstall. what windows are you using

    Hey

    You could use System Restore to restore your machine to an earlier time. Pick a date before you had the problem and restore to it. You can then install/uninstall programs and see what causes the problem. The changes made by system restore are reversable(if you have it enabled).

    i used add and remove not norton uninstall could that be the prob?

    i have tryed system restor and it do not solve the prob!

    i have managed to sort it out now it was the way i uninstalled nortonfirewall etc did not give it much thought till you asked,it took some doing but sussed it in the end.
