Or check your C: directory which DVD Decrypter is default to rip the DVD movie to. So click on your C: drive in MY COMPUTER and see if you see a folder that is named as the title of the DVD you riped.
ok if i click on my computer and go to c: there is a file with the movie in it. I tried to pull that up with shrink and it gives me the same error message. I wish i had someone who could look at my computer to tell me what to do. I dont know what to do next. Christy
Christy if you have located the movie why not try using nero.If you open NeroVisionExpress just drag movie(right click and hold) into Nero window and go from there. Its unusual because once the movie has gone through decrypter you shouldnt have any problems opening it in Shrink. Good luck , gotta go away for a few hours , will check in with you later.
ok i pulled it up with nero but now it tells me the movie is to large for the disc i have any way to edit what is save. I am doing Brother Bear. It has a documentary on it that is long. So i would like to delete it

Thanks for everyones help. I was able to talk with TMFLORIA on yahoo tonight and he walked me threw it. Thank you very much. I may end up back with more questions since i am still learning
@gwendolin Why are you telling her to use Nero Vision Express when she needs to be using Nero Recode2 So Christy you dont open it in Nero Vision Express you use Nero Recode2 it will compress the DVD to fit onto a DVD5 disc.
@larrylje the reason being that I am NOT familiar with Nero Recode only NeroVisionExpress which I use all the time. Nothing was mentioned about the size of the movie so I put the question to you why would you advise her to use Nero Recode. I tried to help her, not redirect her to some one elses guide. You can ONLY advise people with what you are comfortable with.
She said she was trying to make a backup of her DVD. Nero Vision Express is used to author and create a DVD which you use other files like(avi, DivX, Xvid etc etc) Nero Recode2 is for backing up DVD's and recoding them to fit on DVD5 disc. When your backing up a DVD there is no need to use nero Vision Express which is for creating a DVD because its already a DVD. Use nero recode2 to backup the DVD so you can either recode a DVD9 and fit it to DVD5 or re-author the DVD to take out unwanted features. I am just letting you know that if your using Nero Vision Express to make backups of your movie then your going about it the long way. If you have NeroVision express then you will have Nero Recode2. Get familiar with Nero Recode 2 I think you would find it much easier to backup your DVDs.
@larrylje thanks for that but in line 1 of thread QUOTE:I used smartripper to rip my movie:UN QUOTE. The movie already ripped to HD I cannot see where she mentioned backing up DVD, maybe I assumed incorrectly. As I said I am not really clued up on Recode2 although I do have the prog., I will give it a try. Cheers
