need help??

Hey ya'll. Where have you been all this time. I am experiencing a problem with my pansat receiver. all the sudden it turned off. after a couple of seconds it turned back on again; but it only shows "on"
on the box and there is no picture on the tv at all. The only way i can turn it off is by using the back switch or unplugging it. it will not respond to the remote control or manual keys on the box. any suggestions? much appreciated.
