   I'm going to buy a new DVD burner, and according to the sticky I've decided to buy either a Lite-on or Benq, so which models should I look for from these to brands.

   Well BenQ are no longer made so unless you can get one from eBay I'd go with the LiteOn.
   Pretty much most if not all of the models should do you just fine.
