RNBATES---I know its sometime hard to get these boxes going but you have to watch your language. I would edit you other post before a mod jumps you.

Now lets try and fix your problem. You need a program like WINZIP to unzip that download. Once Winzip is installed, then right click the download incon on the desktop and you should get a menu. One of the menu items will say something like OPEN WITH and should have a list of your installed programs. Select Winzip as the program to open that download. Then extract the bin file to your desktop again. At this point the loader program will be able to use the bin file.

Yeah, there's no need to make this place look filthy and cheap.

    Ok, This is for windows...

Try saving the "zip" file any where else besides your Desktop, maybe in "MyDocuments", after is done downloading choose the option to "Find the folder" ok, then right click over that "zip" file you just download and in that list choose "Extract files",(for default the computer will put them in the same folder),Ok now, inside the folder you just "Unziped" should be the STB file that you will next have to put into your receiver via USB port.

Note: If your computer does not have the Zip files extractor, you will have to follow Jerrys advice and get a file "Unziper" else where in the net.

    Good luck !

I am a newbie and need help.

I just got a Pansat 3500SD. Do I need to download bin/key files before I can start seeing something. What is the link and any instructions that I might need after downloading?

Right now, channels with signal level and quality above 80 & 90% respectively, tell me "scrambled or bad signal" message.

Thanks Jerry. I am going to try the steps suggested in "Pansat 3500 Receiver Setup.doc". I wanted to ask another question:

Is "boot_ltc80__06_1019.bin" the latest bin? (I have Pansat 3500 SD). Should I be taking any backup before proceeding? I may sound naive but I think I should still ask (so that I do make any damage to my Pansat), how and what all backups should I take? And should I suspend the auto-roll feature? If yes, how?

That doesn't look like the correct file. Bin names usually contain dates in them. EG: coolsat5000_154_11-12-2007 or something similiar.
Most that I know of contain something similiar to the eg I gave.
This allows you to see that you are getting the latest update.

You don't really do any backups, but it is good to open the menu and get the satellite settings and write them down. Incase you need them for your new setup.

As for autoroll, when you install a new updated bin, the autorolls are turned back ON if you had them OFF. The updates are fixes for autoroll problems and other issues. When you lose your channels and get scrambled channel, you then need to turn the autoroll OFF and enter the keys manually. You may have to enter the keys many times until a new bin is released and you can do another update.

Here is a link to the latest bin file I could find at Future-fta site. Its dated Nov 9, 2007. You will see the file number as you start the download. Your number above isn't right.

I don't know anything about pansats, but I know we have a couple people here using them. Hopefully they can speak up and help out.

We have a big long thread on the Pansat 3500 at this link below. It may help since most setup questions have been asked in there at one time. The problem is the many pages you will need to look through. I think I posted setup guides somewhere in there.

Hey guys i uploaded the bin 154 file to my Coolsat 6000 premium 2 days ago and yesterday it went down again. I don't understand what is going on. The new file works for just 3 or 4 days and it goes down. I don't buy it.What gives?
