hey guys just got my new reciever,i"ve been reading to find info,at the links that jerry and breck helps us with.just like the previous post i just got my viewsat vs pro downloaded satt with great signal,went to the screen called special function wich i read on.but there is no nagra file there.it says no smart card.don't know why can't find anywhere info why it's not there,or do i have do download the bin,to get that part to come up..this is the only site i've had success getting info.thanks

After loading the Bin 155 to my CS 6000 premium like 3 days ago, it went off again...please provide your inputs on what is going on with the coolsat 6000...so i would know to get the other receiver either the 7000 or the viewsat...please let me know, cuz i am getting tired of this for every 3 days and then wait for like 3 weeks to get the new bin....

Apparently from the news on other sites, a new ECM has come out for both DISH and BEV.

Have to wait for a bin again.

BEV so far has only lost PPV & xXx

 

I'm so new at this I don't even know what a BIN is. But I do know we lost the PPV channels. The dish, CS5000, was from a friend. I have no idea what I need to do.....please help.

If you have never updated your Coolsat, now would be a good time to read some of the setup guides. From the looks of things this may be a weekly situation. I think breck68 has guides on his toolbar you can download.

okay so i figured out how to download the bin into my reciver and for the last few days had everything today it looks like they got us again so whats the deal do we need to download 156 or what, thanks for the last reply by the way. flip

hey guys uploaded the bin 154 file to my CS 6000 premium but after two days it went down. I am fed up of this nonsense. What the bloody hell is going on. Are these files original or hacked.

 

The bin file was good,,but they decided to change bin files again,,you know, the big guys,,you are not the only one hot over it,,think that was the shortest time for a file to last sense i bought this COOLSAT 6000,,should be a new bin #156,soon just hang in there

 

Can someone help me get a clear understanding of role distinction between Keys & BIN file? If BIN file is all what is needed, what and when is the need to manually update the Key information?

Seems from one of the responses that BIN contains information about channel encryption and Keys are like password.

Do providers keep updating both BIN and Keys? When we install new a BIN, does it also contain updated KEY information if required? Do they sometimes only update KEY but not the BIN?

Bottomline of question is in what case manual updating KEY information is helpful?
