I have viewset extream. I hav a problem, since i have loaded new file my receiver is working fine with DN but when i go BEV it freezes and i can not do any thing and i can not go back to DN.I have tryed turn on off from the back of the receiver nothing. Please help thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, the bin file released on 1/4/08 was for DN only. Then they released files on 1/5/08 that was suppose to fix BEV also. I would download the second file and install it. That should help. Keep in mind there is a 15 to 30 second key roll delay every time you change channels. Just let it go and the channel will come in.

My friend has viewset platinum and he by mistake delete satlie Ecostar 4&5. I reload factry instal, but it did not work. please help me to instal Ecostar 4&5 back

,,,Hello im not BRECK or JERRY but everything is good,,,BINS ARE NOT DOWN FOR COOLSAT 6000 P,,however it is a little slow comming up but if you power down when you are not using it,,, takes time to come out of scramble channel mode

 

Hey breck i have a question. Are these coolsat files original and why do they last only 4 or 5 days maximum. I am asking this question because before i used to get the file from a guy and it worked garanteed for a month.So what`s up with these files mate.

 

The problem is not with the bin files but with more frequent encryption changes from the sat provider(DN & BEV). As soon as the FTA coders fix a problem, the providers change the encryption again. They are also making it more difficult for the coders to write the bin file which of course take longer. The results are longer down times and shorter lasting bin files. The code writers are trying to produce a bin that will last longer as before. We just have to wait and see if it can be done.

Installing the factory bin file should return the receiver back to the factory setup like it was when new. In the menu there should also be a default setting to select. If that doesn't work, you may need to search or find a channel list that has those sats on it. There should also be a way to update his receiver using another same model receiver if yours is the same one. You hook the 2 receivers together similar to the way you hook to the PC and then use the good receivers menu to update the other one.

Hey guys, I have a viewsat 2000 ultra. Updated to the new bin 080104, did a channel scan then surfed through the 300's when I hit channel 370 my screen frozed up on me. I get no visuals just the blue background and the channel headings, but I can't even access my menu my remote is non responsive. Turned off the viewsat with the switch on the back. When it boots back up, it boots to the same frozen screen and remote does not respond. Even by pressing the channel buttons on the reciever the reciever is non responsive. The screen is definately frozen cause the sat and quality meters are not fluxuating. Any help is much appreciated, thanx.

 

The bin you used was updated 1 day later to 080105. But there could be another problem. I read on another thread that some of the channels may be out again. I'm at work and can't confirm this but the sat providers may have changed the encryption stream agaim. Try loading the new bin and see if that helps for now. Keep in mind that there is a 15 to 30 second key roll delay on every channel change you select.

Thanks for the info Jerry, but I think my problem is worse then a quick reloading of a bin. I think somehow my bin got corrupted, thats why I'm stuck on the frozen screen. Usb does not work, think I have too attach the null cable, and use loader2 and a factory bin to evade the frozen screen, since I can't do anything because the usb does not work, even if it did my remote is non responsive. Anyways I think i'll be down for awhile till, getting a usbtoserial cable moves closer to the top of my todolist. Keep up the good work Breck and Jerry thanx.

I forgot what your using, but the ECM changes are old ones and old bins are working.
