The new site requires you to register. Forum can't be seen by visitors.

I tried to register 4 times and kept getting reasons unable to.
Finally accepted the registration and posted it, but wont let me on
yet. Obviously, I'm not impressed with BinDepot as a new resource.

Well if you would of read the message after registering, you would have check your email to activate your account. Don't bother now, I activated manually for you. Also the site is set up so registering has a delay between each user to prevent spam bots gaining access to the sites and posting spam all over it. Nice to see your quick to bitch about something you get for free. I pay for these sites out of my own pocket and offer it to everyone for no charge. If you don't like then go to another site and pay for a $25 membership for bins that are free elsewhere.

Sorry I ticked you off Breck. Didn't know it was your site.
I did, however, read and checked my E-Mail 3-4 times afterwards,
    before posting.
I noted no mention of delays and so assumed it was computer automated.
    My Bad.
You want to just go ahead and shoot me ? :)

    LOL

    I'm sorry - went a little overboard.
Sometimes the activation emails end up in the junk folder.
Activation email is usually pretty fast.

I'd shot ya, but I'm out of bullets - used them all on Mantis. Yee-Haa

Well I have to get some sleep. I have 3 or 4 more days of inventory at work and then I hope things ease back to normal there. Thanks again Breck for the statis upgrade on the new site. I'll check in from work if I get some free time.

Yea - I'm in the same boat. Long days and nights are catching up with me. Need to get some sleep. Or a couple stiff drinks. But then I would turn into a real dick. Better go to bed.

162 was to merge a working Bev bin(157) and a working DN bin(161) together to create 162. This was for users watching both providers.

    But DN is down again.

You DN guys are going through the same crap us BEV users have been dealing with for the past several months. You guys had TV for a while while we were out.

    Breck,
Are you running 'bev' or 'dn' on your 6100 ?
Would it not be possible to set up 2 dual dishes (w/ a single receiver) and flip-flop back and forth, (w/ an A-B switch), from dn to bev; depending on who's good to go at any given point in time?

Actually I am back on the 6000 with BEV. I don't have DN set up at the house yet. A spring job. You can use 2 dishes for each provider, and use the diseq switch that comes with your receiver. Then you scan for all the satellites you are setup for. On your remote, you have a SAT button. From there you can choose Sat1, Sat2, Sat 3,...., or All Satellites

Breck, Thanks for the response. In that scenario, is the same bin software applicable to both bev and dn ? I didn't know if a change in software would be mandated when fipping from one provider to the other.
The diseq sw that came with my 6100P, didn't like a similar configuration I tried at first . I think maybe because I'm using the "Dish Pro" Dual LNB (500). I read (in a DN manual) that this LNB (with the DP Logo on it) required a diseq switch with the same DP logo on it to work. They claimed a generic LNB was required for a generic diseq switch. I had difficulty setting up with the supplied generic 4 in/ 1 out sw, but the problems disappeared when I substituted an old "DP" switch with 2 in/ 1 out.
Guess we're waiting for the next bin.....Again..... :)
