Never mind my question....I finally got on...must have been really busy w/everybody watching for new stuff.

 

Actually I think the host was doing backups of everyones sites, so they shutdown everything for a couple minutes. Can take 5 minutes or up to 15 minutes. Depends if they do everyone or just partial backups. Happens now and again, but usually not too long. Just a safety net if I every need to restore the site if it was hacked. I do my own personal backups too but I don't have to set things down.

can you give me a little info? i have sat at 110 and 119 for some reason im missing channels like espn A&E and bet just to name a few,
this is my first time setting up so im not 100% that these channels would work, but they are on the DN sites . im thinking that maybe my dish needs to be adjusted but everything else looks fine so i dont want to touch it i dont have to. im using a vs2000 ultra

ive read everyones settings on 110, 119
and mine looks a little different but im getting s and q
this is what i have on 119.

I see 2 possible problems in those settings. You have the LNB type as standard. If that is correct then the 22khz should be off. If you are by chance using a twin type LNB dish like the dish pro, then you need to change the lnb type to dish pro and the 22khz should be on.

If your lnbs are standard types, you are probably using a disq switch to combine the 2 sat leads into 1. If so, then you need the switch ports for each cable to match the sat. Example if 119 goes to swtich port 1, it needs to show that in the setup. If 110 goes to switch port 2, that has to match in the setup also. If using the twin DishPro lnbs, they have internal switches and the external diseqc switch is not needed and will cause problems.

Once you have determined the proper settings I would delete all channels and rescan both sats.

this was a dish net dish that was already on the house when i purchased it , so i will have to go up and check exactly what i have and i will make any adjustments needed and respond back with the results tomorrow,

Here is a link to a post on how to setup a poormans dish using a single lnb dish to get 2 sats. Towards the bottom are pictures of single and dual type LNBs. You may beable to look at your dish from the ground and see which LNB type you have by matching the picture.

I think this might my issue, I have a lbn with three heads

That poormans post was somewhat old and at that time the 3 lnb dishes didn't work right. I'm not sure if they updated the bin files to cover them or not. If I remember right, they suggested removing the 3 head lnb and replacing it with the dish pro 2 head lnb or 2 single lnbs. I'll see if I can find any info on the 3 head lnbs. There may be more info towards the end of the many pages in that same post. The farther in you go, the closer you get to present day.
