i was asking about the receiver itself not the settings, but i will try that first though, thanks ....

 

after i turned the power off to the lnb like you said , it powers on normal, so i guess that this means that my dp+ is no good? correct?

 

If you recall, i said i had two cables coming from the lnb and only one was connected .. i tried switching and connecting the other one and i didn't have any issues but when i switched back ,it happened again, i'm saying this to ask do you think the cable is bad, it seems as though when i hook it up the receiver is getting to much power or something...I think i will try to aim my dish now with the second cale and see what happens,,

 

I guess i solved it partialy, I went back up and found that i had the second cable connected to the lnb in port, that is what was causing the no start, i connected it to the correct port and vs powered up as normal, i adjusted my settings and i am now doing a auto scan, i will post back the results , (if i received all the channels i was trying to get) thanks again for the help BRECK and JERY , you guys are the best...

MY dumb question for the month,,,do i get at least one,,ha ha,,any way will BIN for COOLSAT 5000 work with COOLSAT 6000,,The reason i ask,,, i think there is one out,,dont everyone jump me at once,,,

Coolsat 4,5,6 all have 164 updates.

None of them work for BEV or DN anymore. And only 2 1/2 days old.

 

Those rascals were fast this time,,163 lasted longer than i expected

 

SO 164 IS NOT WORKING FOR DN EITHER.

 

I think 164 fixes BEV only, not sure for DN... I doubt it tho.

 

havent tried it either ,,,but heard it does not work for DN

 

i just tried it its not working.

 

How about getting another dish and point it to BEV for whenever one fails?

Any of you has done that lately?

I installed the Viewsat Platinum file with the same date and I have DN back up and running. It is listed as a BEV fix but DN is up on my Platinum with that file.

i try the new bev fix 08204p..but my reciver have 3 flat line on the front..no numbers..

Thats the file I used and it was working good last night. I haven't turned it on today to see if its still up. It sounds like you possibly got a bad download if your receiver has no numbers. Load the factory bin file and then yesterdays file over that. Try a different download site and see if that helps.
