I have a Viewsat Extreme receiver. Noticed that only a handful of channels (music) were available. When I tried to select a channel (ie. 230) receiver directed me to channel 156. Installed 080311x fix to no avail. Can someone help me ?

As of last night 3/12/08, Viewsat Platinum was still working on all channels on the DN sats. I haven't read about any major problems yet. Check the receiver setup settings--- check that the proper LNB type is selected---check that each sat cable is selected for the proper switch port if using a switch and multiple sats. When you have a working system, you should always write those settings down so that you can check them and reset them if necessary. Sometimes new bins will reset those to default settings which will need changed back to your settings.

    hey jerry,,thanks for your help...
i tried to check all the settings and they are same as before.
point is..it was working fine after i installed the bin file of 3/5, but it went off after couple of days. so i don't know is that a setting or any thing else..should i just do factory default, install the new bin file again and scan all the channels again./?

For starters, your bin is not up to date.
Latest bin released yesterday to fix some issues.

    Dbpsw-080311x

All viewsat updates added at bindepot.ca

Update your bin, rescan and see if that helps.
No point working out a bug if your not running the latest bins.

I'm have three cs5. I have the latest bin 170. The problem I have is that two of them work flawlessly, and one gets a scrambled channel? Any help?

I don't use any of those channels, so I really don't know the practice to getting them. Maybe they were moved?

Your using an old bin - update your bin to the latest (142)

You can find it at bindepot.ca - register for access.
