Someone wrote that if I try my CS box at 400F for 20 minutes in my oven, it would fix my channel scramble problem. The idea is to kill all the bugs by heat.. yea sort of pasteurization. I think we all need to pasteurize our boxes.

Why would you even want to buy another coolsat after this kinda of support?

except,,,,,everyone else seems to have grasped the fact the bins go down on ALL FTA RECIEVERS,,so did you not expect this to happen,,,,there are people working to get new BINS already,,BIN 170 lasted a lot longer than earlier bins,,sometimes the bins last an hour sometimes 2 months but they all go down ,

Dude calm down all I am saying is the support for those two recievers are slow compare to others; so if they are not going to have a fast support on the old models why would anyone trust them again and buy a model today and in few weeks they will tell you oh this one ois an old model you need to get a newer model.

Did not mean to offend anyone just take a chill pill....

its all good,,and you are right,, the COOLSAT 4000,5000,6000 seem to go faster and take longer to get new BIN FILES,,it was not always that way ,,mostly the last 4,5 months,,, there should be a fix in a few days hang in there

Don't fool yourself. They get well paid buy the companies they make bins for. They also follow instructions from these companies on what to release first or last. We can only hope that they put them all out quickly. It's only in their best interest unless they don't mind their sales dropping off because of poor support.

Thanks for the help all.........I'm being offered the CS 6100 for $80 (bargain for me) so I needed some input. I guess everything's a risk right. Still hanging on to my CS 5000 but being that it takes so long for the bins to come out.....gets a little tiring. Not that I'm complaining or anything! lol.

If I were you I wouldn't buy it. Since the times are so unstable I would wait and if anything I would just buy a different brand.
Although the $80 sounds pretty tempting.
    Good luck with your decision!

News is that you should start shopping for an upgrade.
It hasn't been made official yet, but speculation is that CS 4,5,6 support will be gone soon if it isn't gone now.
The support for the newer models will continue, but Coolsat doesn't have the guts to come out and announce anything.
