Breck,,are you out there some where,,got a question,,i was told today that the COOLSAT 4000,,5000,,,6000,, SERIES were made by an outside company for COOLSAT,,And that outside company allowed clones to be made,,so COOLSAT is not standing behind those series for support,,my question to you or who ever may have the knowledge,,will COOLSAT still stand behind the 6100 through the 8100 series,,it seems the files are at hand pretty fast for these,,and last but not least what do you think of the COOLSAT 6100,,the nfusion nova i have is already full of factory problems ,,i had to return it,,the guy said it was bad from the factory,,he has a massive store in PALMCOAST FL.,,knows his way around pretty good with these things but could not get my NFUSION NOVA to operate,,So im looking into the 6100,,any hints that may help,,,i am used to the COOLSAT format,,,thanks

 

Almost fell asleep reading all of that.
Coolsat 4,5,6 coders and different from the 6100 and up coders.
Coolsat is having a little is house fighting with the 4,5,6 coders.
The 6100 and up coders are ok from everything i have read.
They may still be a little slower than other coders, but in time hopefully will improve.

I have a 6100 and it is great when it is up. Easy to use.
I decided that it's up to you to decide if you want to buy a Coolsat.
I am not recommending them anymore. Things may be ok with the 6100 and up, but as far as what I have seen in the past year, I can't promote anything they have anymore. My personal choice, but with that said, I did buy myself a 6100 back around X-mas time.

I like the USB update. Makes it a breeze to update. Picture is great. Easy setup with auto hardware scan. The auto hardware scan does at time have trouble finding sats with some multiple sat setups. But you can still manually setup and scan.

At the end, it's all up to you to decide.

If your thinking of the 6100 at the end of the day, stuffupforgrab.com has a spring special on selling the 6100 for $109.99. Cheap to buy for an additional test unit.

Hopefully they will figure the dongle out in time and the 6100 will run better on iks.
