I have an old PS2 which I use for testing purposes etc. I have cut out some areas on the case and attached flying cables to the points just for a magic 3.1 - on the other end I have a test clip - so when I purchase the magics, I just clip one on to test it - do not need to solder it (proves it works before soldering) I am still going to use the ubicom, until I hear something to convince me otherwise...... It also could just be a marketing ploy - as ref: the site I posted, it seems like you can diy with the adapter and pc and software.... That is the real problem with the internet now - it is good cos you can communicate globally - but you can also introduce a small whisper - and then it gets exponentialled..... Anyway - will wait now until a more definative answer is revealed. Hope you can get to the bottom of it with easybuy2000 - they have had a real slating...
