The History Channel is one of my fav. channels so i will keep an eye open for that show Neph. Jizmak, i saw a video close to that i will have to fine it and post it
This guy is quite handy with a shotgun.. http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-5576047186649146293&q=genre:comedy
Just got done watching it, and it rocked! I forget the guy's name, but one guy fired two ricochet shots from two separate revolvers simultanously to hit two separate targets. Well, it gives me a goal to work towards...
Makes me feel humble to be able to hit the broadside of a barn from inside it, great show, shooting aspirin in mid air? These guys are good, keep an eye for it next time it shows up on the History Channel, well worth it.
Hi Neph, Whats the point of this discussion. As you well know the Sig Sauer P226 is the best there is. You and I have been having this discussion for a number of years now. Lol How are you old buddy?
Anybody here have a Walther P22 and the silencer package that could enlighten me on the process to acquire the silencer, in the USA...
Good Lord Almighty it's been forever and a day agent k! Life's been real interesting for me of late. How've you been old friend? I'll have you know I'll never give up my Hi Power for one of them there Sigs Dunker, that was Bill Ogelsby and that shot was amazing. Could you imagine the ammo budget those guys have in order to get that good?
The Model 500 from Smith & Wesson is the biggest, heaviest, most powerful factory-production double-action revolver in the world. It's built on an entirely new and massive S&W frame size. It fires the new .500 S&W Magnum cartridge, which is the most powerful factory load ever developed specifically for handgun use. The downside is I am too poor to afford it or the rounds to use it. But I must say I love my S&W 620 7-shot. But what else would you expect from a DA revolver lover. =)
Jizmak, my Friend has one of those Smith & Wesson 500s lol its a monster. i got to shoot it and it make my hand numb the first shot plus the kick of the gun is unbelievable .the bullets are 2.00 dollars a piece
Looks like an anti-tank HEAT round. I think Gerry1 could use it to get rid of the Rocky statue in Philly with one shot.
Nephilim- I remember reading somewhere that most folks can be expected to shoot about 100,000 rounds in order to become an "expert". Even if you average 15 cents a round (very rough average of reloaded pistol + rifle, better than target loads) that's about the cost of a new car. And that doesn't include the guns, range fees, CLP, blah blah blah. And I bet Ogelsby has a lot more than 100,000 roudns under his belt!
Congrats. From what I understand your gun laws in the U.K. are only a little tighter than the laws in my home state of New Jersey. That's why both have violent crime rates that are off the charts. NJ residents have to jump through all the same hoops except the interview, but a permit can take as long as 6 months. How long did it take you?
I might as well join in, here is my G19C that I carry everyday... Got my Carry Permit in 8 days from start to finish
Back in Florida they didn't take too long. Wish the Northeast would wake up. Nice Glock though. Does the compensator help much? I've never had much trouble with muzzle flip on Glocks, but I'm just curious.
Honestly it does (on the follow up shot for me). Especially when you do a quick 2 shot the placement is either right next to or directly above each other. At a private range I used to go to we had a paper figure silhouette setup and my Glock on my strong side so as to do some "as I carry to draw" drills; so I was doing 2 shots in the "chest" area and 1 shot to the "head" area and this is where I noticed the compensated benefits (for me at least).
The 2 on the table are 15 rounders with +2's and the one in it is a 32 rounder with a +2 also. TY for the complement, I have a little bit of money into it!
