Thanks. When I open up the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, all I see is "Ricoh SD/MMC Host Controllers". I also tried the resetdma script, but it said "No resettable ATA channels with Windows drivers found. Nothing changed."
I would install ImgBurn. Elect to burn a file. Install a DVD-R disk (your log says you are using a DVD+R) Check the 'Test Mode' box and insert a DVD-R disk (Test mode is a simulation burn that requires a DVD-R). All test mode does is verify that the software can communicate with the firmware - no actual burning takes place. If that's ok, uncheck the box and burn the disk.
