There's always the whole uninstall - clean tool, driver clean tool and that whole bit but that can become a pain in the a*s.

When Shrink gives you that error - yep probably the copy protection.
    Using RipIt4Me?

i only used ripit 3 or 4 times if you remember i was have playback issues with that. i believe we resloved them. i just been using dvd fab for ripping .ist worked on everything so far. then use either recode or shrink. last nite was the first error in awhile. i just ran it througth fixvts then redid shrink. have to see if it worked when i get home.ad has shown me a great deal of stuff. sometimes i think to much! lol.

edit just checked did not work:(

    Which movie are you doing?

How about your version of DVDFab - using 3.0.5.?

    lol - I hope I didn't jinx you!

Did you check DMA mode on the internal drives? Doesn't apply to the external burner.

DVDfab should hanlde this one w/ Shrink - same with RipIt4me.

How are you making out w/ RipIt4Me? (use the latest version of it and fixvts too)

Yeah I'm thinking this is a bad disc also. Reason DVDFab took so long then RipIt4Me failed.

You could try to rip w/ the NEC too - if that fails sounds like an exchange would be your best bet.

    lol

I have a pretty old cd/dvd combo in 1 pc that sometimes doesn't like a disc - use another drive and bingo done :)

Hopefully the NEC will get it done.

    Definitely the disc then.
You may just be better off exchanging it and trying again.
