'fraid all i got is this -

    - as your burner is internal to the PC, that question mark is saying your ATAPI drivers still aren't loaded correctly, try to fix via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

not at all, you just need to beat the DMA thing into submission. tell you what, try this way (just be very careful with regedit) -

That one is a virtual drive so I cant disconnect it. I have tried to get rid of it with no success. I went in and uninstalled the device and the drivers and it just wont go away. How can I get rid of it?

Ok killalot was on the right road. I had the virtual drive installed from gamesxcopy and when I uninstalled, it was left over from that.
Now with that on there the atapi was unable to reconize what kind of transfer rate being as it was fake. It affected all of the drives since one was not reconized. When I found out how to finally uninstall the virtual drive it was cleared and now the atapi reconizes the proper information.

I got rid of those irritating virtual drives by going to:

    my computer
    properties
    device manager
    hardware
    system devices
and disabled 'plug and play bios extension'

if you can burn disk"s with no problems ild leave it. trouble i had was when i did audio cds they didnt fade out or in and didnt remove the silence at the end even though ild selected it and they skipped now and then worked fine for ages then went Pete Tong still given me trouble now, got the nero log saying atapi installed all drives dma on just installed it on my other partition which has only got windows on it nero log says atapi ? dma off but does audio cds perfect bless it, put all my motherboard nvidia drivers on ide etc thought that was the problem the first time round still says atapi ? dma off but still does audio cd perfect....
