Nero 7 head aches

If you're only having problems with sound, it could be the case your sound codecs are buggered. Download the following codec package and install:

Start menu > All Programs > K-Lite Codec Pack > Configuration > Codec Tweak Tool

Check the box: Fixes / [ Registry ] Fix Non-working system sound

See if that solves your problem.

its a problem with not only the sound but the soundtrax crashes too
it gets locked up (the soundtrax)and wont work.

Do you have both Nero 6 and Nero 7 installed on your computer?

well i emailed nero with my infotool and they concluded i might have
the wrong driver in my computer-how do i check that?what do i look 4?

Did they happen to mention what driver? Are they talking about a sound driver, a video driver? I have no idea what they are talking about. They should have given you a specific response as to what was wrong with which driver.

The only thing I can tell you is to run both the Nero 6 and Nero 7 Clean Tools to get rid of everything Nero. Then run the Driver Clean Tool. Then reinstall whatever version of Nero you want, either Nero 6.6.0.18 or Nero 7.0.8.2.

Hi All

I just wanted to thank you all for your assistance in helping me to get Nero running, unfortunately I had no success no mater what was tried Nero refused to work. I have now installed Pinnacle Studio 10.5 and what a huge improvement it does everything I require plus a lot more and with the bolt on packs that can be purchased I have to say it makes an extremely impressive piece of authoring software.

Good luck to those of you that are experiencing Nero problems.
