I've always used shrink, but would like to give recode 2 a try. How/where do you get recode 2? Is it in Nero version 6.6.0.18? I have that, but don't get the recode 2 option. I tried looking for a guide, but could only find alkohol guide for nero 7. I would rather stay away from version 7 for now if at all possible. Nevermind, just found on another thread you haver to download update pack 2. I'll give that a try. thanks
I was considering stepping up to NERO 7 (i have 6 now) for the primary reason that the RECODE feature has PSP functionality, but after reading this thread and other reviews i'm guessing I should just stick with the free programs i'm using now. I love my Nero6 suite and RECODE is almost as good as Dvd Shrink (if you havent tried it.)
Nero 7... is it worth it? Yes... definitely, however, that's only my perspective. For those that has been burning flawlessly with 6.6.0.18 if you're happy and don't want to upgrade, then stick with it (6.6.0.18 is good enough to do everything). On the other hand, I'm really impress with Nero 7 Premium afterall. Again, so far I haven't seen any bugs/issues yet -- it has been burning flawlessly for me since I upgraded to Nero 7 as of late October 2005.
