If you have a log of the failed attempt, post it on the Nero Forum here at Afterdawn.

Too many programs running while your burning. You have no memory if something decides it wants to run while your burning.

Poor media. You can't trust the names anymore.Buy disks that say 'Made in Japan' on the package or 'Verbatim'

Burn speed too high, 4x maximum

Burning too close to the edge on poor media guarantees failure.

Either set the maximum size lower (4300 is my preference) in Recode.
Note I don't have Recode installed, so I don't know how to do it.
I use 'DVD Shrink' (the same program as Recode except it's free).

Just changing to Verbatim and burning at 4x will probably get a good burn, but the others should be attended to.

    Good luck.

To be safe what attar states would be good to go by until you have straightened out your problem(s). I believe your biggest issue here is the size and as what attar states as a guideline 4300 is really the max you should use unless you know your media well. You should be able to burn at 8x that really isn't to fast but when having problems it always best to be conservative. I have problems with some 16x media that I can only burn safely at 12x. You should also use RW media until you get your issue(s) corrected so that you don't make coasters.

Roxio and Nero don't always play well together I personally don't like Roxio as it limits me and it also tags all of your media files on your system. Tagging my files with their garbage drives me over the top so I will not use Roxio. So if I was you I would uninstall Roxio, just beware Roxio doesn't fully uninstall.

If you have a lot of programs running in your Systray, lower right corner of your Desktop, stop any of the stuff that doesn't need to be running. Things that need to run are protection tools like AVG antivirus, Firewalls, AnyDVD and so on... Most other stuff shouldn't be in your Systray.

It might be better and easier for you to use DVDFab Decrypter which is free or even better AnyDVD with CloneDVD2. These are much easier to use and I pretty much never make coasters with either of them. You can download DVDFab Decrypter from this site found in the Software section and AnyDVD/CloneDVD2 can be found at Slysoft.com.
