Nero 8.3.2.1 Editing problems

Hi everyone I'm a newbie...a frustrated one too ..lol

I am using Nero 8 to trim and export a video with NeroExpress and when I start to play video at normal time the Audio is OK butthe video is jumpy. It it is skipping frames and I can't get it right.

I have just recently formated my PC and before then Nero always worked like charm now that I re-installed everything I started having these problems. Am I missing some plug-ins/codecs

I have VISTA Premium 32-bit - updated
GeForce 8800 Graphics Card - Driver updated

Also I do not know if this is relevant I have instlled the below components all of which are up to date
-Media Player 11
-DIVx
-Quicktime
-K-Lite
-VLC

Please help...find me a solution

Also I forgot to mention..I have the latest Adobe Flash installed too

Ok Uhave noticed something else.

When I play the video I noticed that the 'position maker' doeas not run smooth in the 'timeline window', it is also skipping frames
