Nero 8 does not recognize drive

    Ok...so i have just purchased nero 8 (latest version) and when i try to burn a music cd or any type of cd for that matter it only gives me the option to make an image with image recorder. and i have 2 drives an external madog driver and an internal

    Computer specs:
    OS:Windows Vista Home Primium
    RAM:2GB
    MEMORY: 400GB

    please help

    Some things to try.

    - Check if other software like ImgBurn, DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn, etc. see your drive.
    - Make sure the burner firmware is up to date.
    - Use Device Manager to uninstall the drive and then allow the OS to auto-reinstall upon system restart.
    - Uninstall Nero and run the Nero 8 Clean Tool. Then do a fresh reinstall of Nero.
