Nero Express, I think, (real newbie here) came with the burner. Have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled. Everything works up to the point of telling it to burn, and the burn button is grayed out.
Also cannot get Shrink to burn with Nero.... is this something simple or am I jus igerent?

are you sure this version of nero allows you burn with dvd?

try burning with dvd decrypter if you have no joy.

If you have an OEM version of Nero, it is likely that some of the DVD burning functions will be disabled.

You can download a full working trail version from the Nero website.

Well it is version 6.3.1.11 bundled, Nero Express, it came with the burner.... what's the use of including a program that wont function? Doesn't make me want to run out and buy the full version.
    Will try dycrpter. thanks.

I have OEM of Nero Express and have no problem. Are you sure you're using the right format media, -R or +R?

you have bought a dvd burner? right?

if you have it...got to nero toolkit>nero infotool
run a scan, and see what format your burner allows

Just wondering if you have a cdrw installed also? If you do, maybe you have that selected instead of your dvd burner.
