I have looked all through these forums and tried the solutions for fixing the burn speed with Nero... I still can't seem to figure it out. I have a Sony DRU-720A and the latest version of Nero... I have done all of the firmware updates for my burner and have the latest version of Nero. Yet I cannot change my burn speed to anything besides 1x, 2x, 2.4x and Maximum... I f'd up recently and bought 16x Verbatims at Best Buy because they were on sale and didn't realize that Nero wouldn't let me change the burn speed to anything between 2.4x-16x. I have been burning 8x Sony dvd-r's all along with the maximum speed checked and they have worked fine. Any ideas? Thanks
Hmm... Is the disk in the drive when u are trying to change the burn speed?? That is the only time i have that problem is when the disk isnt in.
Ahh thanks man. I had been ripping and burning in the same dvd-r drive because my old dvd read only drive malfunctions from time to time. But now that I'm using both drives it gives me the option of 16x/8x/4x/2x. Thanks!
