So far I haven't been able to update Nero Burning ROM past verson
6603. I tried 6606 and got "Protection Error 127" every time I dropped an mpg file on a vcd or svcd complilation. Now I just tried 6608a and it doesn't give any error message when dropping an mpg on an SVCD compilation. Nero just closes!!

Is anyone else getting this? To get back to sanity I keep having to
System Restore XP back to Nero 6603.

I guess I'll give it a try as much out of curiosity as anything else.
One thing nice about having PCs from the same manufacturer and nearly the same model is doing anything risky on the old PC first. :)

    Thanks for the link.

Well, that's enough for me! Did the strip and installed Nero 6608a.
As soon as you drop an mpg on it "Proection error 157". So, I'm stickin' with version 6603!

Just ask me about my LiteOn 16P9S ROM! Eh Neph?!! I have learned the, if it ain't broke don't fix it scenario!! LOL!! Boy, is it SLOWWWWWW!!! Slower than an asthmatic ant with heavy hand luggage!

But I also believe in "nothing ventured, nothing gained". AAARRGGHHH. I cannot win!!
