    Hi,

With the latest version of NERO 7 i cannot burn DATA cd/DVD.
It does not replace the old data with the new data.
It only happens when i add a map containing data and afterwards i add data to that map ??

    Hi.

I think you need to post more specifically about what it is you're doing. The more info you can relate, the more likely someone can help. Take some time and elaborate what steps you followed. Are you doing a multisession disk? etc. It might also be helpful for you to post the section of your Nero History file that describes this burn. The history file is in this path:

    Program File > Nero > Nero7 > Core > NeroHistory

Be sure to omit your name and Nero serial number from the post.

    i made a data dvd.
After a few days i inserted the dvd in my burner and started Nero 7.
    I choose Make data dvd.
After 10 sec. theres a window that tells me that there no maps where add and 24 files replaced.

When i then burn the DVD the content of the DVD is still the same as BEFORE the burning process.

It is surely a Nero 7850 problem because with an older version everything works fine.

I Hope someone has an solution because this is an option i use very much.

It still isn't clear to me what you're doing. Are you making a new DVD each time? Are you using RW DVDs? Where are the files located that you're adding? On the hard disk? On another DVD?

    I use DVD RW.. files are located on my harddrive C;
    example.... 1 map with +/- 500 songs.
i make a data dvd for safe keeping these music files .
I add a few songs to the same map.

I try to update my data DVD rw.

the new songs are not added to the data dvd after burning.

    That is the problem.
I hope this is a little bit clear ?

Just to be clear, you are actually adding all the music files to the disk to be burned each time and not just a few new songs each time to a multisession disk. Is this correct?

If you're using a RW disk that already has content on it, there should be a warning about overwriting/reformatting the disk. Are you getting that message/warning?

Yes.. the new files must be written between the existing songs.
It worked before but with this version of nero its not working.

I get NO error or warning about reformatting..
I have the option to add data..[IMG]

I can't get to your hard disk via the net to see your image. You'll need to use ImageShack or one of the other image hosting sites to post your image so others can view it.

It seems as though no burn is actually occurring. Try using a reformatted/erased RW disk and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise I'm not sure I know what's going on.

Post the Nero History log section back here to this thread as I indicated in an earlier post. It may shed some light on what's going on.

There haven't been a lot of complaints about 7.8.5.0. Some consider 7.5.9.0 the best version of Nero 7 thus far. Your problem did seem odd. Why it works for you in one version and not another is both perplexing and frustrating.

    Yes very frustratig.
With the old version i cannot play DVD's...
I get an error illegal format.

I use then Windows Mediaplayer 11.

Hopefully Ahead makes one day a version of Nero that works 100%.
