I recently installed this software inorder to set the booktype on my Sony DRU-820a burner (fw 1.0b). This works great for bitsetting to rom on +media. Wanted to check the quality on assorted backups as I have seen various discussions in the forums. Pushed the start button for checking Disc Quality and got this comment: "Drive does not support this function". I also have a Toshiba SD-R5112 burner (fw 1034) and got the same comment. Apparently neither drive will cooperate with the Disc Quality function while using Nero Speed. Would like to be able to check the quality on my backups. Any other good utilities out there? Thanks!
There is also DVDinfoPro, but if your drive doesn't support PI/PO scanning it just doesn't. http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
Thanks for the quick reply. I tried the DVD Info Pro. Seems like the test(s) that it runs are not quite like the ones on Nero Speed. There is not one that gives a percentage result, or maybe I just missed seeing it. Was hoping to find a score like say 95% or some other number after running the test.
