I am looking for some advice and help if possible please.

    I am using Nero Premium V7 2.3.2b with a Sony CD-RW CRX100E Drive.
I am considering purchasing a DVD Writer so that I can Put some of my videos onto disc for backup.
I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice as to what make of drives are good, reliable and not too expensive.

I have heard of Lightscribe drives and wondered also if anyone knows how good they are.
I know this a lot to ask but also if anyone has any tips on what sort of media is good and reliable it would be appreciated.
I am not sure what the differences between DVD-R, DVD+R, Dual Layer and their re-writable counterparts are so any help would be great.

Sorry about the lenght of the thread but I don't know and you might.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

So that I could comment on7.2.3.2/ 7.2.3.2b, I tried it to burn 3 AVI flies which I had successfully burned using version 7.0.8.2, sadly each burn was unsatisfactory so I reverted to the latest release and tried them again with success…my conclusion..7.2.3.2b was a failure when it comes to burn AVI files.

I did the following, uninstalled7.2.3.2/ 7.2.3.2b, ran this clean tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then installed 7.5.9.0 from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/

    Thanks for the info.

Will my existing serial number work on the newer version or will I need to get a new one?

Your existing serial number will be acceptable for all future Nero7 updates.
