Nero Demo

Im having problems with the Latest Nero demo. I uninstalled my expired one. Downloaded the latest 1 and it still says that its expired. I have done this 3 times and still the same thing. Any suggestions? I really need this at the moment I need to backup some things before a reformat

 

I don't have definitive knowledge here, but I know that in general the mechanism for expiring your software is a registry key. These demo softwares often use this trick. They use a registry key (or other file) to track the expiration time. Even if you uninstall the program this little registry entry or file remains - indicating that the program is expired.

So, I guess we need to find someone who knows where this registry Key resides.


Also, you could buy NERO 6.6. I just did a few days ago and I LOVE IT! It comes with a ton of more software after you buy it.

i have a problem with the nero demo too. my friend recommened me the nero trial version. so i downloaded it from here. it took 5 hours to download (i have a 56k modem) and even though i NEVER EVER had nero, as soon as i clicked "demo", since i dont have a serial number, cuz obviously i only downloaded it, it said "your demo has expired." how can it expire if i just downloaded it TODAY?

 

I have been having the same problem. I guess I will have to break down and buy Nero. I used the demo 4 times and had no problems, easy to use and with DVD shrink it is a snap. Sucks I can't get the demo back!
