I have a lite-on DVD burner (832s?). Can back-up my DVD's great using shrink and decrypter. I have gone thru 2 computers now, just sent them back to HP. after downloading Nero, twice my DVD drive has failed to recognize any disk. Minus never dowloading Nero again, are there any suggestions to a possible reason for the drive failure.

You need to start building your own computers. Just type in
how to build computers on the net and you will get plenty of
    free tutorials.
The computer companies like HP,Dell,Gateway,IBM and so on
build computers for people that will only last or stay upgradible
for 1 to 2 years after that there junk. Thats why you are having
problems burning. Do not buy computers from stores.
Instead look at Newegg.com buy your parts, assemble it and be
    real happy.

Do you have Roxio installed on your computer(s) too? If so, it fights with Nero. They don't play nicely together.

But to be honest it sounds like an ASPI problem to me. Don't ask me what it is, because I don't completely understand it myself, but it might be your problem. You don't need to build your own computer to be able to burn a movie.

Check the Newbies thread in my sig. In there it talks about ASPI and how to fix problems with it. Good luck.
