Apparently Nero was unable to prepare the data for burning. Do you have INCD installed? It may be causing the problem. Read here: forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/136289 Good luck!
ok i have uninstalled InCD, fixed ASPI, updated firmware. and here is my latest error log: Xxxxx Xxxxxx XXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 10/26/2004 4:21:30 PM ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 10/26/2004 4:21:30 PM Nero Version: 6.6.0.6 Recorder: <HP DVD Writer 300n> Version: 3.20 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.0.6 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <MITSUMI CD-ROM FX48++W >Version: W01H - HA 1 TA 1 - 6.6.0.6 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : SAMSUNG SV1204H atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : HP DVD Writer 300n atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : MITSUMI CD-ROM FX48++W atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off === CDRom-Device-Map === HP DVD Writer 300n E: CDRom0 MITSUMI CD-ROM FX48++W F: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 66060288 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 447MB (458092kB) Free physical memory: 180MB (185244kB) Memory in use : 59 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 11.2.2005 UDF/ISO compilation 6:18:33 PM #1 Phase 112 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1832 DVD-Video files reallocation started 6:18:33 PM #2 DVDREALLOC -19 File DVDVideoCompilation.cpp, Line 1183 File size is not a multiple of a logical block size (2 KB) 6:18:33 PM #3 Phase 115 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1832 DVD-Video files reallocation failed Existing drivers: File 'Drivers\PXHELP20.SYS': Ver=2.02.62a, size=20016 bytes, created 10/28/2003 5:02:00 AM (Prassi/Veritas driver for win 2K) File 'Drivers\atapi.sys': Ver=5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158), size=95360 bytes, created 8/4/2004 12:59:42 AM (Adapter driver for rec) Registry Keys: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\AllocateCDROMs : 0 (Security Option)
Still not working? Maybe you should 1) Use Nero Info Tools to check hardware, software, and disc conditions 2) Use another burning program (e.g. Decrypter) to see if it works.
it doesn't seem that decrypter can help me. i have vob files already i just need to burn them. i shouldn't need to author it.

Dear Rotary, Thanks for helping out here, but it appears that Nero is just not reading the data. Dear FZwilson, You may want to be a bit more patient to sort this out. What I'm suggesting is for you to: 1) make sure that your hardware, software, disc, and data are all hooked up fine (by using e.g. Nero Info Tools) 2) check to see if you can actually burn at all with another software and/or data Hope this makes sense.
nero info tool says everything is fine. other data will burn. cd-r's burn fine, this one dvd is giving me fits, most work fine but i do have a few that seem to be corrupted and just won't burn. rotary, i can't change the settings for relaxing joliet restrictions. but the other restriction relaxations i will be sure to set like you have it. thank you all for your help. i am trying to be patient i have been working on this for two months now. dvdshrink made one good copy and i gave it away. if i had it now i would just copy it.
Well, if it's just a few DVDs, then maybe compatibility with Nero is the problem. You may want to try burn with other more flexible programs (e.g. DVDSanta), or convert the .VOBs into mpegs or avis to see how that goes. Good luck!
dvdsanta hmmm i'll try that next. i converted to mpeg just fine (so my files are ok ..aren't they?) but mpeg wouldn't burn either. tried with a program called "Copy to DVD" it reported "Power Calibration Error:CD-Burner is Dirty" so maybe my drive needs to be checked out..thanx scf i'm gonna try dvdsanta
