    @raymon_d -

    - EDIT OUT your serial number

    - firmware is a few revisions behind. 1.0A is here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1740

    - just for info, did you intend to do multisession ?

    - if the firmware update doesn't help, try better media

    splat!

    @raymon_d -

    i've not used them myself, but in this case i'm going by your logfile as that's what counts in this instance.. as i say, if the firmware update doesn't improve things, then the only thing i see as a culprit in your logs is the media, everything else looks fine..

    here's the first thing i came across re whatever discs you've got (the logfile shows the media code TTH02, as far as i can tell there are 4 'brands' your disc could be, and i wouldn't use any of them myself) - http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.p...&hits=25&country=&search=Search+or+List+Media

    ah, sorry, i forgot paste the other link where we discussed similar discs recently - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/220758

    read it thru, especially re the TTH02 and Bulkpaq references. Plus i've been stung by about 500 Bulkpaq discs which were FAKEs of the best quality media that you can buy - TY (Taiyo Yuden).

    So in regards to Bulkpaq, i am extremely distrustful of them as they have been known to FAKE discs..(plus have a look at the first post in the 1st link in my sig, plus scan thru the 2nd link in sig for detailed BulkPaq info)

    Hi everybody, I am very new to burning DVDs and am having a similar problem. I was able to copy 2 DVDs but everyone since has been giving me the same error message "could not perform end of disc-at-once"

    I hope that someone may be able to help me fix this error. Thanks

    tam

    @Holung -

    - firmware is 2 versions behind, A105 is here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=4&manufactor=16

    - DMA needs to be ON. Fix it via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

    - this is ok, but just for info, make sure to close down more programs priorto any burning

    - try decent discs, see my sig for details

    updating firmware alone is not sufficient, crap discs will always be crap discs, buy decent discs, they'll let you down when you least expect it

    - uninstal Nero, uninstall completely via Nero Clean Tools - " http://www.nero.com/en/Clean_Tools.html ", then install 6.6.0.16, but DO NOT install Nero's InCD. this is packet writing software, it doesn't always play well with standard Nero.

    @prrgutori -

    - too old, latest is 6.6.0.16

    - firmware is up to date

    - yup, Nero is too old and cannot identify your drive correctly. update Nero.

    - not too bad, but make sure to close down more programs prior to burning

    - try decent discs, see my sig for details

    - buy decent discs, lesser ones will let you down when you least expect it

    - whoa!, why so fast?, slow it down, most people recommend 4x for video burning

    @prrgutori -

    - 'fraid it's cus you didn't follow ALL previous suggestions.....

    - you're burning to outer edge of discs. if you use DVD Shrink, set target size to 4300MB, thus avoiding outer edge and not sacrificing much space..

    - as i suggested before, get better discs. TDK use differing quality manufacturers so you have to be careful which discs you buy as not all TDK will be equal. see my sig for details of quality discs, ie Verbatim [bold]datalifeplus[/bold]

    - see previous comment

    - whoa!, why so fast?, you're doing 16x again - [bold]slow it down, most people recommend 4x for video burning[/bold]

    Follow ALL suggestions ([bold]and buy decent media[/bold]) and you'll be sorted...

    You need to follow Creaky's recommendations from his previous reply.

    Reduce your burn speed:
    Burn process started at 16x (22,160 KB/s)

    Get some better media:
    Disc Manufacturer ID: MBIPG101

    @xeromen -

    - my God, that version is out of the bible, update to 6.6.0.16 which is latest

    - yup, Nero is too old and cannot identify your drive correctly. update Nero.

    - wow, 192MB is barely enough for Windows XP on it's own, never mind dvd work on top. you really need at least 512MB. buy more memory.
