I cant burn a data dvd, I get power calibration error. firmware=nec nd-2510A, firmware revision 2.18. Do I need to change my booktype setting to DVD-r, because im using sony dvd-r disks. Dvd decrypter works fine since updating to 2.18 firmware, but Nero v.6.3.1.17 doesnt. And i have tried 3 different free dvd burning software, that gives me errors as well. Any ideas? Bad Media? Should I update my firmware again?
You can try updating your Nero from here, both packages Package 1: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe you should be able to use your existing serial number Sony is one of the brands I use and recommend.
