Up until recently I've had no problems making MP3 discs. Now when I make either an MP3 disc or just a DATA disc and click to add files, Nero just hangs and I'm forced to close it and get the generic program error box. Now if I select BURNING ROM for my DATA disc it will work fine. It seems like it might only be when I use NERO EXPRESS b/c that's the only option you can use for MP3 discs specifically. Or I believe Nero may label them as JUKEBOX CDs. I can't remember exactly. Anywho, I know it still works when I use the BURNING ROM but it bothers me that it doesn't work when I use other methods. I tried reinstalling but that didn't work. Any ideas? Is this maybe a bug in the new version? I haven't made any changes to my PC such as installing a new drive or other burning application. I only have iTunes and WMP11 but I've had those for quite sometime and Nero has always worked 100%.
i had the similar symptoms to you but i fixed it when i used the clean tools .Have you used the clean tools ?????
I'm not familiar with CLEAN TOOLS. Is that something within Nero itself? I'll take a look tomorrow. I'm about to head out.
Depends on which version of Nero you are using. Uninstall your Nero, run appropriate clean tool and then re install Nero6 Clean Tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html Nero7 Clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html Heres the links for Nero 6 re install Package 1: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe and this is my choice of Nero 7 , 7.5.9.0 http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?1881
I notice the "Add' button in Express opens a 3 tab interface, File Browser, Search and Saved Searches, whereas the Burning ROM "Open" is a much simpler selection interface. Don't know if that is the difference. The Search tab in the Express gets to Scout. You don't have that "feature" enabled do you?
Please ignore my previous post. That was how my V7.0.8.2 is on my laptop. I had a look at v7.5.9.0 on a desktop and the "add" in Express and "open" in Burning ROM, though not identical, look equally simple.
