I use nero with DVD shrink. I have been more problems lately with my disc failing at 100% saying disc at once failed. I upgraded my firmware, uninstalled nero and updated it, and I updated shrink. Now every burn fails at the disc at once. when you uninstalled Nero and then reinstalled Nero with upgrade..... you didn't use the Nero Cleaning tools to take out the Nero 6 version completely, because: Nero API version: 7.7.5.1 Using interface version: 6.3.1.4 shows Nero 6 is still there! do this and clean it up properly: Before upgrading to Nero 7 save your serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools: Nero 6 cleaning tool: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html and Nero7 Clean tool: http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot! then reinstall Nero 7 upgrade! you are burning too close to the edge of the disk and therefore you got this message: some quality disks can burn this close to the edge but others can't due to the Non quality of the disk. try to adjust the burn to no more than 4400MB! make these adjustments and you should be successful..... also consider the fact that your burner is old..... even with the 2004 firmware update the newer media might not be able to burn properly in this burner..... I would also consider a new burner since they are cheap now (you can get a quality burner for under $60.00 or so). good luck and welcome to Afterdawn!
