Well I had to reformat my computer do to a hard drive malfunction and now Nero isn't working properly for me. The two DVDs I have backed up since theformat work on my PC but do not work in my ps2. They are the same DVDs that I used for the countless other backups ive made since before the format. Anyway, now I am getting an error everytime I try burning a DVD and it reads something like this:

i would say burning to close to outer edge of dvdr

and the type of dvdr used CMC are very bad!

    is your drive external?

    hi

the 2 apps conflict! and you may need the app called roxio zapper to get rid of registry now with roxio as its a bummer of an app...

its picking up the driver for roxio

and make your images smaller for the dvdr say about 4300meg

    hi

read my above posts, but i am surprised you got these discs to play anyways, but now i think its cos of the not fianlizing fully! your standalones cant read any files...

roxio takes over control of the drive so nero cant get exclusive access to it...

KEEP NERO and get rid of roxio and use the uninstall tool called ROXIOZAPPER...

    Rylenol,
You were supposed to uninstall Roxio completely and then use Roxizap ( you can obtain from the Roxio site ) as per Rotary's instructions

Set the DVD Target Size to Custom -4300 as this will keep you from burning to close to the outer edge

SCSI Exec, HA 2, TA 0, LUN 0, buffer 0x038D6400
    Status: 0x02 (0x03, SCSI_ABORTED)
    HA-Status 0x10 (0x0A, SCSI_HASTAT_REQUEST_SENSE_FAILED)
    TA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK)
    Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST)

You asked the burner to perform an operation it could not perform.

Try using better blank media like Verbatim, Maxell, Taiyo Yuden, Ritek, Fuji- made in Japan ot Sony -made in Japan

The above is what the errors were and how to correct them as per Rotary's post
